Today we are creating a Seminole pumpkin landrace on bad soil without tilling everything. The trick is called "the melon pit method," and if you have any source of fertility, from manure to roadkill, you can do it too!

In these times when food shortages are approaching, we need to grow healthy food ourselves, just as we need good water and light.

If you choose to grow in depleted soil, this is a good way to do it. You can actually grow anything anywhere if you just know how, and it is a good skill to acquire.
